Annotations are visual layers on a content step. Messages guide the viewer, while blur and text labels polish the captured screen. Use Blur to hide sensitive information. Use Text to add a short free-floating label, note, or tag-style marker.

Message

Add a pointer, callout, or clickable area with navigation behavior.

Blur

Mask private names, emails, tokens, account values, or customer data.

Text

Add a simple label with editable copy, font size, and color.

Blur masks

Add a blur mask when a screenshot or video frame contains sensitive data. Drag it over the region and resize it until the full area is covered. Adjust blur intensity from the inspector. Use enough blur to hide the content without covering nearby UI.

Text labels

Add a text label when you need a lightweight note directly on the screen. This is the closest editor concept to a tag. Edit the text, font size, and color. Keep labels short so they do not compete with messages or cover important UI.

Screenshot, video, and HTML support

Blur masks and text labels are available on screenshot and video steps. They are positioned on top of the captured media. HTML steps support element-anchored messages. Blur masks, text labels, and zoom annotations are not available on HTML steps in the no-code editor.
