Inkly records how visitors engage with hosted demos: sessions, visitors, step progression, completions, and lead-capture form submissions. You do not need to add tracking code to your site. Analytics are included when you host or embed demos through Inkly, and you can connect tools such as PostHog, GA4, and Amplitude when demo engagement should flow into your broader analytics stack.

What Inkly tracks

Inkly groups visitor activity into sessions and records high-signal demo events.
MetricWhat it tells you
SessionsDistinct viewing sessions, with refreshes grouped when they happen close together.
VisitorsUnique visitors across the selected date range.
Step progressionWhich steps visitors reach before leaving.
CompletionsHow many sessions reach the end of a demo.
Form submissionsValues submitted through lead-capture form widgets.
Hub clicksWhich demos visitors open from a hub page.

Open the analytics dashboard

Open Analytics from the Inkly app. The dashboard has three tabs:
TabUse it for
TrafficReview sessions, visitors, completions, referrers, countries, devices, browsers, operating systems, and demo-level performance.
ConnectorsRequest access to forward demo analytics to tools such as PostHog, GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Segment.
FormsReview lead-capture form submissions across all demos or for one selected demo.
Use the demo filter to focus on one demo, and use the date-range filter to switch between the last 7, 30, or 90 days.
Analytics focuses on demo engagement. It is not a replacement for a full product analytics or BI system.

Session details

Inkly records enough context to help you understand traffic quality and source.
FieldNotes
ReferrerThe page that sent the visitor, when available.
Device typeDesktop, tablet, mobile, or unknown.
Browser and OSCoarse browser and operating system groups.
Country or regionCoarse location when available.
Embed modeWhether the demo was viewed standalone or embedded.
Bot flagAutomated traffic is flagged and excluded from dashboard totals.
Inkly does not show or store raw IP addresses in analytics.

Form submissions

When a viewer submits a form widget, Inkly stores the submitted values with the demo session. Field labels are preserved, so submissions read like Email and Company, not only field ids.
Form submissions can contain personal information. Collect only what you need, and handle exports according to your privacy and retention policies.

External analytics

Use the Connectors tab to request access to third-party analytics integrations. Inkly supports forwarding demo analytics to tools such as PostHog, GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel, and Segment. Use integrations when demo views, completions, and conversion signals should live beside the rest of your product or marketing analytics.
