Use screenshot capture for the fastest path from Chrome to a polished Inkly demo. Each step records what the page looked like when you clicked. When the flow includes motion, such as scrolling or typing, the extension can record a short video step. That makes screenshot capture a strong default for sales demos, onboarding flows, support guides, and feature launches.

When to use screenshot capture

  • You want the simplest way to capture a product walkthrough.
  • You need to show the product exactly as it appears in Chrome.
  • You are recording a logged-in product session.
  • You want scrolling, typing, or animation to appear in the demo.
  • You plan to polish the story with annotations, labels, chapters, and copy.
Use HTML capture instead when you need crisp text at different sizes or captured content that agents can edit directly.

Capture a screenshot demo

Click the Inkly Capture extension in Chrome and confirm your capture destination.
3

Choose Screenshot

Click Start Recording, then choose Screenshot in the capture picker.

Screenshot capture options

Use Record Video when the demo should include scrolling, typing, or other motion between clicks. Turn it off when every step can be represented as a still screen. Use Auto Apply Zoom to zoom and pan around clicked areas so viewers can follow what changed.

Destination options

Choose Inkly Platform to upload the demo into your workspace. Choose Download ZIP to save the demo locally and preview it with the CLI.
For most first demos, choose screenshot capture. It gives you the fastest path from a live browser flow to a demo you can polish and publish.
